Graham Hawkings

Graham is a highly respected coach who began his amateur career at The Worcestershire Golf Club.  As an amateur he quickly moved through the ranks of junior, colt, 2nd  and 1st team county golf, taking in along the way tournaments such as The English Amateur Championship and The Brabazon Trophy. In 1988 Graham turned professional and soon passed the required examinations to become a fully qualified P.G.A. Class “AA” professional. This was later followed with a Diploma in Sports Psychology from Newcastle College and a Level 3 coaching qualification within the P.G.A.

The basic skills and principals applied by Graham have allowed him to pass on his knowledge to all standards of pupil from complete beginner to the elite, in fact many of Graham’s pupils have gone on to gain both county and national recognition. Graham has run a number of summer schools for juniors and represented the PGA as one of their Swing Zone Coaches at The British Open Championship.

Since 2005 Graham has had his own clubs out again and has been competing regularly in senior golf tournaments some of which have been affiliated to The European Seniors Tour, rubbing shoulders with ex major champions and Ryder Cup players. In 2006 Graham attended the European Seniors Tour School in Portugal this helped him gain an insight into what it takes to compete at the highest level, this experience Graham passes on to his pupils with the utmost enthusiasm.
